Call Winston Zeddemore!

There was never any doubt at any time, I was always going to pay tribute to the great Ernie Hudson. I have been a huge fan of his since his portrayal of the under appreciated Winston, not to mention his heroism in "Hand That Rocks The Cradle", and especially his role of Warden Leo Glynn in OZ. But Winston Zeddemore is a special guy to me. When applying for the job that everyone thinks is such a coveted thing, they ask him if he believes in a long list of paranormal oddities and supernatural wonders. Winston simply replies, "If there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you say"

I can relate to him on a lot of levels there... so this one's for Winston, and more so, for Ernie

say, did you notice any strange slime on the painting above? that's because it's glow-in-the-dark paint. hard to take a photo, but i detailed the ghost as well as all the ghostbustin' equipment

Z for Zeddemore

I agree! The glow-in-the-dark effect is an exceptionally nice touch. Makes me feel like I'm part of the ultimate Ghostbusters/Da Vinci Code mashup.

Holy details Peter! This is great, you made Winston look so bad ass. Great forms and structure as well, really impressive.

Everything about this is fun and inspired. The facial expression and the hand poses are really subtle. i like that you made all the equipment design cooler than the actual stuff in the movie. you can tell you had fun with this.
this is the kind of drawing that i would copy over and over as a kid.
they should make toy based on this version of Winston.

is that the ghost of Adebisi from Oz?

For a show on unfamiliar turf, you took some chances, tried some new things, and wound up owning every one. You found a different solution for each piece while maintaining your artistic identity, and it paid off. you have balls dude. I admire you.

DUDE! Before I talk about how amazing this piece is, I need to say that I totally agree with you about Winston. Maybe it's my ingrained radical politics or growing up punk, but I always route for the underdog. And Winston is just that. He's barely in the movie but some of his lines are the most memorable.

Anyway, this is awesome. You nailed the likeness and that half cocky smirk! I looooove that skull/ghost and glow in the dark paint for a Ghostbusters piece...that should've been a requirement for all of us! Well done!

If it's for sale, I'll be there Friday with cash in hand for a bid. Come to think of it, I'll be there with a guest who just might bid on that picture himself. ;-)
