Fairy Tales - Gallery 1988 West

Been awhile, here's my piece for Gallery 1988's Fairy Tales print show, The Pied Piper! Limited edition of 50 chop-stamped, signed/numbered giclee prints!

I did this for the Philly Cartoonist Society music show, and i never really showed it off. I had mixed feelings about it composition wise, color palette wise, and every other concern an illustrator can have about his own work. Something i did like was all the silly little characters and jokes inside. I was trying to riff off of THE GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS by Bosch, (what was i thinking?) but inject it with weird cartoon-isms and jokes. The right panel in Bosch's garden depicting hell had a lot of music related things in it, which is why i chose it for the music show. Not sure why, but i thought i would share. Enjoy!
