The Horror at Redhook
Hello Autumn Society-ers,
Eamon here to give you guys a look at a piece I am submitting for the upcoming H.P. Lovecraft themed show at Proximity gallery in Philadelphia, for which the promo card was posted for previously in this space. I think some more work could go into the crowd color wise, but I had a blast drawing this puppy.
There is a more extensive post about it over at my blog if you would care to look. Happy Labor day all!

Artificial Dissemination
Hi Gang,
Eamon here, in an effort to post more, I wanted to share stuff, like a link to my blog post about a recent philly art show at Masthead Print studio. The goal of the show was to create a propaganda style image, I decided to go with a pro-printed media message, and came up with this:
There is a sketch and some pictures from the show, here. They were screen printed and there are prints for sale at the gallery. Feel free to check it out!

Hey gang,
Been a while since I posted on the ole' Autumn Blog, but with the super exclusive Pizza Box item at the recent Brave New Worlds show I was invited to appear in, Chogrin got me back in some bloggin' form. Here is my contribution, one Baxter Stockman. I was pretty pleased with this one, and Bax was always a favorite turtles villain. Enjoy!

Frog, and More Monsters

Doing a little more fooling around here, I always loved the game Chrono Trigger, and especially Frog among that great cast of characters. Just trying some different things with color and such, I won't say this is the finish, but it's on the way. Also a colored version of those monsters I posted a bit ago, and a black and white character Illustration of one of them. Enjoy!

New Stuff For You!

(UPDATE!: I decided to crop in on advice from Mr. Stabwell, to get rid of all that boring negative space. I think it turns out a stronger image.)
Decided to try my hand at Dr.Claw for the 80's jawn, because who doesn't love Dr. Claw? WHO I ASK?! Annnnd there is also that silly self portrait of me in a weird getup....not quite finished yet, think of it as a sneak peek. Enjoy!

Joe Shishido
Joe Shishido is a Japanese actor, who has appeared in a lot of movies, according to wikipedia about 300, including "Branded To Kill", directed by Seijun Suzuki. Shishido had his cheeks artificially enlarged, and it improved his career greatly, even though I think it makes him look like he has cotton balls stuffed in his cheeks at all times. Just trying some things out here with ink, and coloring in a slightly different way than usual, as well as trying to improve my likeness skills. Enjoy!-Eamon

From the dusty archives
I did this for the Philly Cartoonist Society music show, and i never really showed it off. I had mixed feelings about it composition wise, color palette wise, and every other concern an illustrator can have about his own work. Something i did like was all the silly little characters and jokes inside. I was trying to riff off of THE GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS by Bosch, (what was i thinking?) but inject it with weird cartoon-isms and jokes. The right panel in Bosch's garden depicting hell had a lot of music related things in it, which is why i chose it for the music show. Not sure why, but i thought i would share. Enjoy!
