Strange Kids Club invades The Autumn Society?

Hey there everyone, it's Rondal here from Strange Kids Club! Seems my good friend Chogrin has invited me over for a bit of fun and games here at the Autumn Society. Oh, and I "have such sights to show you!" Haha. For those of you who don't know what Strange Kids Club is, please allow me to elaborate.

You see, Strange Kid himself is sort of a personification of that slightly over-excited inner child in each of us that geeks out over all things nostalgic or otherwise pop culture related. Everday at his clubhouse you can find all sorts of interesting articles: from B-movie monsters to classic wrestling match-ups, exclusive comics and interviews to unbelievably cool toys and beyond.

Stay tuned for more announcements coming soon!

80's Pop Show Opening

The wall before the opening @6pm

Hey guys, I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who submitted work to the show and for all of those who helped make our show another great success. This show had an even better turn out than our last ones and I can tell this trend will continue with every show following. With nearly 70 pieces in this show, I know we will only get bigger and better from this point on and personally am looking forward to seeing more of the awesome contributions in the future.

*A special thanks to Matt Cavanaugh and his sister for taking Joe's place setting up and managing sales and prints*

I'll keep it short and sweet on that note... here are a few photos I took during the show last night:

Rob and Brian, thanks for all the help, guys!

The Philadelphia Ghostbusters arrived after the weather cleared up, yes!

That's right, you point at the art and you admire it. Admire it, damn you!

A thanks out to Matt for taking video footage of the show!

The crowd.

Sorry you couldn't be there for it, Joe! As always, thanks for taking the reigns and taking charge of things!

Thanks to everyone who came out and checked out the show despite the weather, you exceeded our expectations!

See you all next month for the Golden Age show!

News

WOAH. THE MONTHS ARE FLYING BY.

Just giving a shout out and an update to all. I've been a bit down-hearted about all the wonderful work that has been put up here, while I sit on the sidelines making my film. BUT REST AT EASE. I will most certainly post my film when it is completed.

In the meanwhile, I just wanted to share some news about me, for any who are interested in hearing. =)

Firstly, I got a very short film/ character study I finished back in December into the Philadelphia Cinefest (previously Philadelphia Film Festival) so that's a little bit of a YAY! factor.

It'll be playing in the program titled "...Even Jesus Had an Accountant".... which to be honest I find slightly... interesting? I'd be more than honored if any of you happen to check it out and give me some feedback! The Festival runs from march 29th to April 6th. Not sure what that program title means, but hell! I'm just surprised this thing got in! Certainly gives a girl a little confidence.

Speaking of confidence...

Yes indeed. That goofball is me, with a pencil-lead covered thumb, celebrating my MFA acceptance letter into CalArts. Do I have the monies to go? Hell no.

Where there's a will, there's a way. =)

Also, sorry for the long boring post celebrating my news, but hey. I figured if there is one bunch of people I'd want to tell it to, it's definately you guys. <3
