This is the final drawing and sketch for a commission I got while I was in Baltimore. The gentleman pretty much left it up to "Little Nemo, with animals"- open ended, eh? Anyway, I did a lot of sketches that were pretty crazy and action/figure filled but they didn't seem right, in spite of the presupposed "wackiness" of a dreamscape. This is a little quieter, in my mind between adventures, and Nemo pauses to enjoy the beauty of the world he's in. Let me know what you guys think. Thank!
ps- that is a mouse riding a fish..i like it.

i like the atmospheric quality, especially since nemo is usually so flat and stylized it's makes the piece that much more personalized and unique.
