Seasons Sketch

For some reason, so many people are just kinda sad in the winter time. They could have everything, even love, but they are just so sad.

I think its because everything is so cold and dead outside.

In this sketch I wanted to grasp the main composition/emotion, so I drew this without reference in my new earth tone sketchbook that I fucking love so much! Its so awesome!

Cheers!

its a rough sketch so its hard to tell, but it looks promising. Is it going to have an elaborate border or something? It kind of looks like that, that might be interesting.

I wasn't really thinking about elaborate borders because I really don't think about that. I always think of pieces as silk screens, because I am a illustrator and a printmaker. So wonky straight edges/drawing, off registration, zips, over print and slips are what to be expected.

In the next few days I will have a finalized drawing and color study to post, I thought I would post what I am up to with this.
