The hay stack, with the person in it isnt reading as well as it should, (I thought it was a mountain) None the less, the clouds look beautiful.

i agree with fish, the guy isn't very readable and it kinda looks like one large creature and with silhouette i don't know how to really clarify that, unless he sits up. the clouds are very well done, and the lion is a good touch, especially when you mention is as a solar creature- that's cool.

I would try a white line to divide the shapes.

Hmm, I think I could have him sit up. Or maybe put a fork in the haystack, or add some other clues.
Thanks for your suggestions!

I'm just so used to seeing what I would like to see rather than what other people are seeing/not seeing. Hahah.
You guys ever do that?

desiree i gotta tell ya i LOVE your work. sorry i have nothing constructive to say ever, i am just pretty enamored. frankly, i kind of like some of the unintelligible qualities to your work. some of the coolness of working in these impressive silhouettes, to me, is to push the challenge of readability, and force me to connect the dots myself, or interpret and confuse like an ink blot test. i don't like outlines because they are "easy", but rather the extra bit of effort it requires of me

Peter, I'm so thankful for your supportive words! Reading your comment put a smile on my face and now I am encouraged to try harder with these season pieces.

In fact, everyone here's been awesome with their suggestions/responses and I hope that I haven't been posting my progress on here too, too much. I don't want to clog the blog at all with unfinished work, but I love to ask questions about things, so here I am.
