American Illustration Website
(and an embarrasing look at my bookmarks!...it's a funny show..whatever.)
Hi everybody, I've got some projects I'm not ready to post about just yet- sorry for the lack of new work on the site- and since other members are posting about shows and publications, I wanted to share some news of my own. I got the acceptance notification for these illustration juries a little bit ago, but only recently were they made available/published. The first is having a piece chosen by American Illustration for the 27th annual (website version), and the second is that I have a piece in the most recent CMYK.(and an embarrasing look at my bookmarks!...it's a funny show..whatever.)
CMYK is a juried publication of work from "aspiring creatives" (wunderkind illustrator Francis Vallejo also appears in this issue, so I'm happy to be in such good company). You can check it out to see my piece as well as 24 other great illustrations. They also publish great photography, graphic design, and ad work in each issue that's well worth taking a look (if only because so much of it incorporates illustration).
I'm glad to see so many of us getting good press out there in the "real world," and I'd love to see what anyone else has to share. That's all for now. Thanks guys.
