Hello folks,
I'm new to the Autumn Society and am pleased as punch to join. I'm not so great at introductions so I'll post a little bit about myself:
Suburban Philadelphia based illustrator. You can see my work read some more about me on my website under "Studio". I'm currently represented by Deborah Wolfe LTD.
For starters, here's a re-post from my own blog titled "Lincoln's Ghost".
Enjoy!
Local Philly artist collective, Art In The Age Of Mechanical Reproduction, has announced a call for entries for a tribute exhibition for Abraham Lincoln's 2ooth birthday. Here is my submission. I wonder if it will make the cut? If not, it's still a pretty cool, albeit eerie piece.
*Also for this week's Illustration Friday topic "Resolve", as in , "Lincoln was a man of resolve".

Welcome! This is a great image of Lincoln, I love the very slight subtle bit of color. Beautiful detail too!
Thanks! I just checked out your work as well and it is beautiful. =)
Really beautiful drawing on that face. Welcome Aboard!
I took a gander at your website and it looks swell. Glad to have you part of the group.
that's so nice a clear. i heard once that shortly before lincoln was killed looked into a mirror and saw s a gaunt corpse-like doppleganger of himself, this reminded me of that story.
very nice. the color scheme is wonderful and the subtle texture lends itself well to the lineart.
wow, welcome aboard! love the drawing, especially in the face. i just submitted an entry to that show as well! hopefully our pieces can hang together.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! When I get a minute I will check out more of your sites. Murderous...did you get a confirmation or anything on your submission? I have not and was wondering if I should check up on it b/c the deadline is the 9th. Thanks all!

i haven't gotten anything either, no. i think the entry form said that accepted artists will be notified on the 12th. so we've got a few days yet!
Very nice. In a portrait like this, who could think Lincoln was ugly?
