Works

Hey guys, I posted this up on my personal blog recently, but I think I can finally post it up on here. About a month ago, I finished the Koni Waves cover along with my first game card for the Warlord CCG series. The Koni Waves cover will be on shelves summer 09 and is the cover for the Avengelyne VS Koni comic which is their first character crossover story. The card is part of the Shattered Empires expansion which is the twentieth expansion for Warlord CCG and the first expansion after 4th Edition release. Both projects were fun to work on despite extremely different art direction from each company. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the finishes.

"Koni Waves" 15" x 23" oil on panel

"Thrall" 12" x 16" oil on panel

(I didn't know they were going to flip the image until I saw the card)

And now, back to work on neglected pieces and current jobs.. :)

Just a side note: I got a bit off track with my Lord of the Rings Sunday sketches due to the holiday but will make up for lost time.. next week: Gandalf and Aragorn

these turned out great! the card in particular, though it's totally weird that they flipped the image! great light and color in that piece though. i'd bet that card gets you some good jobs.

wow the colors in Thrall are stunning. isn't it funny when someone does something weird with your image, especially a flip. i don't know about anyone else, but anytime i have ever reflected any drawing it always looks like there's something uncomfortably wrong about it; like Bizarro world in a puddle reflection. the fact that your card looks as great as your painting is a testament to how much you excel at your craft
