nuclear cherry bomb

hey guys- long time, no post!
so, life's been tough after the ely- feeling a little lost, without purpose. after being so focused, it's hard to move on to other things.
but this piece was a nice little kick in the pants- i don't know if i would call it a break through, but it has definitely made an impression on the way i work. it went so quickly, but no part of it looks rushed to me.

it was originally my submission for the portfolio day card, but since it didn't really work without the cheesy tagline, i just dropped that aspect of it.
now it's an illustration of the atomic holocaust that is the kitchen every time i attempt to cook. seriously, i just look at the stove and the smoke alarm goes off.

I agree with stabwell on the subtle brushwork. Especially on the exploding pot and background. Also it comes off flat but the lighting is right and the shadows on the woman are right on so its really rendered as well. The cut out look is probly my favorite of all. Like an animation cell. no complaints. See you at work
