A new book from one of the most knowledgeable, kindhearted talented artists you will ever meet, one of the most influential artists in the city. From some of us who had him at UARTs to PAFA punks. I wouldn't of had the slightest clue of how to handle a figure painting if it wasnt for him, from color mixing to painting technique he made everything click for me. Books about $ 22 on amazon.

I only had Al for one semester at UArts but he easily became one of my favorite instructors. Such a kind-hearted, talented and inspiring man. He made it so easy to learn from.
His lectures were so awesome to witness, his demos were even better. Even before I was enrolled in his class, I sat in on the demos, they're just too good.
I've been waiting for this to come out, it seems my Christmas list this year is nothing but art books.

He was my anatomy teacher. I just marveled at his anatomy drawings he did for class. I model my figure drawing class all on him.
Plus, I consider his painting demo of a portrait to be my first true understanding of the process of layering paint.
He's so awesome!
My drawing was at it's highest peak when I was in his class, i liked it so much I took it two semesters. Brilliant man, look forward to reading the book.
i never had him as an instructor, but i still sat in on a few of his classes...amazing stuff! ill def be picking this book up
