Golden Apples

Golden Apples, 9.25x17", pencil/digital

Hi everyone. The above is another piece for my upcoming show. The background of the piece is related to a Greek myth, an area that I love to explore and pull material from. Below, I've included some progress pics.

It's been awesome taking a break from comics to work on these pieces and I'm hoping to get at least 6 more done as well as some small drawings. See you guys at the Heart Earth hanging. Thanks, all.

I've seen this piece in, I guess it's been three versions so far. This one is definitely my favorite, it has all the good elements of the other versions, and it edited out the flaws. It's gonna be a good show..

really dig the color scheme on this one. the super simple background is really working also, and the whole piece has a nice glow to it.

i hate to say it, but i think there are some small drawing issues with the feet. just something to keep an eye on i guess. this piece is done and i don't think you should go back into it or anything. it's still way strong overall, but the one upturned foot did catch my eye a little bit.
