Custom Gwin Trade

Over on the October Toys forum one of the members organized a custom Gwin trade. October Toys produces these penguin shaped vinyl art toys called Gwins. Each participant got an address to mail their Gwin to. It was a lot of fun, and I hope I can do somethign similar again. Here's what my trade partner got:I call it the "Gwin-ball Machine." The design is to reference a gumball machine, and with a little of kaiju influence since I got the clear Gwin and wanted some sort of inner element. Inside is an entire container of beads which I had to shove through the tiny hole in his butt individually.

I got this Gwin done by the artist Smove from Germany. His name is "Om," and I think it rules!

Kudos on getting those beads up his butt! (wow, never thought I'd say that in a post here) The only that's bothering me is the paint job. Its a bit messy and chunky. It would of actually been cool to see the entire thing transparent with the beads or even better yet, glow in the dark paint! You should totally experiment with glow in the dark paint on your next one. Love the OM!

the clear vinyl is a way different texture than the usual stuff I'm used to, and didn't soak in the paint, so i had to keep going over spots.
I've worked w/ glow vinyl, but usually glow and neon spray paints don't dry very well.
