Exodus by Ky-Phong Tran

New piece contributed to Hyphen Magazine to go along with a short story written by Ky-Phong Tran. Told from a little girl's point of view in 1954 Vietnam. After losing her mother months earlier, she flees from corrupted post-war soldiers with her father in the night.

This depicts a scene where she lights a paper lantern and sets it afloat amongst numerous others that children of the village have released onto a small river. A really sad but truly wonderful story!!
