pretty tough piece man, i hope hes not walking through my golden age jungle. i like the gesture as he walks, i think your figures keep getting better. You can tell the feeling of caution in that face. I love pieces with faces that are looking at something you cant see. what happened with batman? likin that purple and green. you the man.
thanks, broheme. i think i almost exclusively do pieces where my subject is looking at something else. it's like even my own drawings are bored with what's going on in them.
don't worry, batman and some other pals will be at the show. didn't want to bog down the blog just yet
Nice! I was going to do a Phantom but I never really read it (I do remember specifically not reading it in the Sunday funnies, or was that Prince Valiant?), the strongest connection I have to material is Billy Zane riding around the jungle on a white horse, and jeeps falling off cliffs and stuff. And then turning that piece of shit movie off after about 20 minutes. But, back to the piece, it's awesome.
thanks urvrybody! i've only seen the billy zane movie once in my life and i was probably 8 or so. i was tempted to revisit it while working on this, but i thought it might kill my enthusiasm for the character.

I love the sense of menace from the shadows... Those three pair of eyes watching the Phantom... Very good indeed!
Pretty awesome, sir. I really dig the palette and the mood of this one.
The Ghost who walks has never looked better.
