Hey all, I just finished this piece for a "Works on Paper" show next month, and seeing as how I don't usually work on paper and also that I rarely do landscapes I'm really unsure of how it came out. I'd really appreciate any comments on what I could maybe do to improve it, or if I should just leave it alone.
It's based on a dream I had recently about a tyrant cloud monster that reigned over the town I lived in, and how one day when it rained I unexpectedly became pregnant with its baby.

honestly i really dont know what to say. it's a beautiful image, i love the wide format and that cloud face is too perfect. the only thing i'd say is it's not too immediately clear that the cloudman is the CAUSE of the pregnancy. i don't know if that's really important to you. personally, i wouldn't worry about it.
I agree with Alex, the wide format is really awesome. The cloud face is subtle enough but definitely grabs you and pulls you into the piece. This is a really nice, the only issue I have is the white parts of the clouds where light is hitting them. They seem a bit out of place, maybe blend them a bit into the clouds that they're part of or tone em down, they're kinda stealing my attention a little because of the contrast. Other than that, I'd say you're in a good spot!

amazing as always Alicia! maybe a little refinement in her face but not sure of the scale yo painted this. the whole thing is gorgeous, and what an amazing portrayal of an amazing dream
