Hey I just got an email from creative quarterly that said I got in!! So I thought I would share the piece that they chose. It's a portrait of British actor Ben Whishaw who's role in the movie "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" inspired me to do a portrait. The movie is awesome and if you haven't seen it then you should treat yourself and watch it.....Since it's Autumn I decided to a simple portrait of him blending in to his surroundings. I hope you enjoy and keep an eye out for the creative quarterly 17. I'm excited!!
This is the Actor
this is the sketch
this is my interpretation
P.S: Thanks to Fish for the reminder on submitting :)

Congratulations, Collie! I've said before that I am a huge fan of your work. I really love the way you handled the background in this piece. The color palette is just stunning and I like the incorporation of the leaves into his vest.
Side note, he's in a new movie, Bright Star directed by the amazing Jane Campion. Tres excited about it :)
