heres a picture update of the blitzkreig of cons for the last 3 weeks. september 13th was my own philly alternative comic con which was a great success! we had over 30 of the best cartoonists in philly come out to meet and greet the fans as well as sell their comix! everyone got some sort of intoxicated and a ton of laughs and good times went down!
the following week was the philly zine fest in west philly which only a handful of the philly comix scene made it out to, but me along with the ones that did stuck out like sore thumbs (which is a good thing) amongst the angsty livejournal xeroxed zines being sold.
and this past weekend was the gianormous alt-comic industry meet-up known as spx! this was my first year tabling and i had a blast! i met a TON of people, sold a lot of books, and ate awesome vegetarian chinese food afterwards! then the party happened which was very surreal for me, being that the whole first 2 floors of the hotel were filled with some of todays most talented cartoonists all getting drunk together and networking and socializing. the highlight was meeting matt furie and hanging out with him at 4am smoking in the mcdonalds parking lot. good times!
heres the only pic i took from spx, philly comix jam table with art baxter, ian harker, and meheres a precursor to that table at pacc!
philly heavy hitters hawk krall, jesse moynihan, and box brown all in a row at pacc

more pics can be seen on my blog at itspatsblog.blogspot.com
also the fall con season is yet from over! i unfortunatley won't be able to make it with autumn society to the baltimore comic con this year, but i will be at the B.Y.O.T.Y. book fair in philly october 17th, Richmond zine fest November 2-3, and king con brooklyn November 7-8!
