Grief Through Times of Strife

Grief Through Times of Strife, 21x16", Colored pencil/digital

Hey everybody. A little while ago I posted a piece in a promotional series dealing with common themes in editorial art- this is the newest addition. The piece is about those times when the world outside you is as tumultuous as your internal distress. Bad timing, right? I'm happy with how it turned out, though to a certain extent I wish I had experimented with some new processes during the piece- just to maybe get some new effects in there. Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks guys.

durning! this piece is fantastic. really love the slight fogging you're doing on the arms/hands underwater. looks awesome. i think to support your concept, a more tumultuous sea miht have worked well, but visually i really like it as is.

Tim, I love it. So beautiful! Your drawing skills are really looking fantastic. I like the color palette a lot too. It's always such a pleasure to see your work.

Truly remarkable. From the expression, tone, and details, this one of your best!

This came out pretty exceptional my lad. i agree with mr Lawn about that illusion of the arms underwater that was my first thought about how good that looked! I think the turmoil on that calm water works really well on the other hand. solid.
