YURI - 50 YEARS

As some of you know I'm a big advocate for space exploration, so when I realized that the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's journey into space was coming around, I had to do something.

Yuri was only 27 years old when he ventured into space on his Vostok 1 capsule. It is amazing how many exciting and impossible things human kind was trying to achieve during this time period. Just thinking about it today is still pretty darn inspiring! The passion and the spirit to do anything! I can only hope that another age of space exploration blossoms in years to come.

Recently I've been forcing myself to stay away from textures and focus on more simple, clean, and limited color designs. What you see above is an attempt at that, but overall am just happy to have done a little something to celebrate 50 years of the first human in space!

Very cool, Cho! I never realized this little tidbit of astro-history. You got a great composition here and the flat colors are working pretty well for you.
