Thanks to everyone who dropped off their work or contacted me with websites and digital portfolios! If you didn't get a chance to drop off today, you can do so next Tuesday, same times, same place.
Thanks again!

Attention Children's Books Illustrators!
Hi Autumn Society,
I wanted to let you all know about an opportunity I have to review drop off portfolios at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Children's Books.
I'm Associate Designer with the company and starting this Tuesday I will be accepting drop off portfolios between 9am and 10am (with pick up the same day between 4pm and 5pm).
If you, or an illustrator, photographer, or designer you know, work in the children's market, I would love to see your work!
This opportunity to be reviewed (and hopefully have the chance for picture book work in the future) is entirely dependent on YOU. Our sister imprint, Clarion Books, has had very few portfolios dropped off and the majority have been of poor quality work. My boss may decide that we won't be accepting unsolicited requests for art. Because I am a UArts graduate who benefited greatly from our portfolio reviews (I got this job from our illustration Portfolio Day, in fact) I feel a special connection with illustrators, especially those who are just out of school or who don't have agents. If this project 'fails' we'll only be accepting work from illustrators with representation. I would hate for that to happen.
So dust off those portfolios! Break out your promos!
You can drop off your work at:
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
215 Park Avenue South, fl. 12
New York, New York 10003
*Please remember, we do NOT wish to review original art works. Please submit prints and reproductions only. It helps to have your name and contact info on all your pieces, should I wish to keep them on file.*
Thanks! And happy illustrating!
Regina
