mondo: roger rabbit

Here's my latest silkscreen poster for mondotees, the one and only "who framed roger rabbit?"!

i feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work on a print for this amazing film. i remember how much buzz it produced when this joint came out it in 1988. revolutionary for not only its meshing of live action and animation, it also featured disney and warner brothers characters side-by-side for the first time. check out the wikipedia page for all of the interesting details.

at any rate, the poster drops at a random time today. all of the gory details follow.

Richard Wiliams Blog

For all you animation people:
I came across an interesting blog on Richard Williams, an older animator from the 60s that directed the animation on Roger Rabbit and Thief and the Cobbler

the blog mostly deals with the Thief production and another film that I'm not familiar with (you'll see when you check it out.

here's some images from his site:

there is also a section where you can order a DVD set based on The Animator's Survival Kit for over a whopping over-priced $1000 (just get the book, it's something around $50).
