Scholastic books

the last of the 4 covers i did for The Haunting of Derek Stone has finally hit shelves! So I'm posting my favorite of the 4 (which just happens to be the darkest and gloomy-est).

in the interest of not clogging up the blog, i posted the first three final cover images full sized on my own blog: stabwell.blogspot.com

hope you guys like them despite the childrens book color schemes.

scholastic book cover

At portfolioa day back in 07 I got super-lucky and blundered into a job with scholastic, doing some young-adult mystery book covers. Last week, while doing some holiday shopping, i stumbled across the first book for sale in Borders! definitely a pleasant surprise. i'll post the art for the next three covers as soon as i get the finished layout with type etc.
i'm a huge nerd and totally excited about this!
