Ghostbusters! The best scene of the movie, and possibly one of the creepiest scenes of all time.
The 3D part: the drawers coming out, and the cards flying around are all raised above on the glass.
Goonies! Sloth's first appearance in the movie.
The 3D part: Sloth in his chains is painted on the raised glass
Gremlins! My favorite scene is in the movie theater, when they're watching Snow White and making a huge mess.
The 3D part: The biggest gremlin on the left, buckets and popcorn flying and being flung in the air are all painted on the raised glass. This one especially is best in person. I think the depth really helps the feel of the theater and the crazy amount of chaos going on.
I really, really wish you could get the full effect in the images, but since you can't, go see the show and tell me how they look! I encourage you to visit my blog to read more about why I chose each scene, as well as photos of each individual layer of each painting. Please visit my blog! I think it will help to see the process to "see" my pieces better. Everyone's pieces are amazing, I'm very excited to be a part of this!

These are going to be awesome to look at in person. Can't wait!
Pretty cool work KC, specially the Ghostbusters one!
Its great seeing this direction from you, its great seeing all these different solutions, especially yours, using another dimension. A wonderful idea. I especially like the moments from the films you chose. I had the Ghostbusters library scene in mind as well. I like your use of horizontal formats as well something i really never see from you.
thanks guys! i really appreciate it since i didn't know how well these would go over. i think i'm going to stick with the 3D aspect for a while and try to develop it more. 3 layers next time. then 4. and more!
