hammy mcChum

Hi! Just sharing my latest custom: hammy mcChum. I customized one of kidrobot's mini figures (the rooz) into a great white, using real sharks teeth. He was kind of my test subject, and I'm in love with his outcome, so this is just the first of many. Those teeth are really sharp!

Visit my blog to see more :)

1950's ax murderer

My MONSTER CREEPS piece is a 3D painting of the opening scene of Night of the Creeps with the psycho ax murderer back in the 50's. fantastic movie and i thought it would be a fun, creepy piece. gnarly gnight

finally! here is my ninja turtles tribute. i really wish i could have done more with this, but i had almost no time, so it is a little more "painterly" and a little less detailed than i would have liked. it is another 3-D painting so despite how poorly photographed it is, it looks pretty cool in person if i do say so myself. feel free to see more photos and read about it on my blog here! to better "see" my painting, below are the layers of the painting: michelangelo on glass raised about 1/4" above the city background.

i can't wait to see everyone's amazing pieces in person on friday!

3B in 3-D !

beetlejuice: "number fifty-four million six hundred one"

bill and ted: "hell gets personal"

back to the future: "hill valley, 2015"

Here are my pieces for the 3B show! like some of my previous pieces, these are layered (or 3D) paintings, where each have different parts painted on glass raised 1/4" above the background. I wrote a ton about each piece on my blog and included photos of details/each layer to give a better idea of what they look like in person. Please check it out! i'm flying out to CA from NJ for the opening, so i'm beyond excited to check out everyone's pieces in person (especially Beetlejuice!)

back to the future in 3D!

good day! after the awesome 3G show, i was commissioned to make two Back to the Future pieces. they are both done in the same style as my 3G pieces, as 3-dimensional paintings. just like my previous layered paintings, they look a thousand times cooler in person (where you can actually see the space) than in photos. so, here they are!

in this one, the delorean, flames, and lightning are all raised about an inch above the town background.

and in this one, the delorean, dust, and a few indians are raised about an inch above the desert background.

feel free to check out my blog to read about each piece and to see each individual layer to get a better idea of what the painting really looks like in person !

KAOTIC KRITTER Art Show

Tomorrow is the reception for my KAOTIC KRITTER art show ! The gallery is filled with lots of my little kritter paintings, both old and new. It's my third show with VSA NewJersey at the Red Horse Gallery, and i'm thrilled and grateful they keep asking me to come back. VSA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the creative power of people with disabilities. Every few months they give an artist with disabilites a chance to exhibit their artwork in their gallery in Freehold Raceway Mall. They're very nice people and their organization is fantastic.

I'll be here tomorrow from 6-8pm at the RedHorse Gallery in Freehold Raceway Mall (Freehold, NJ). Upper level next to Sears. If anyone is by chance in the area, getting some last minute christmas shopping done, stop by the gallery! Hours aren't great for those who work (Mon-Fri 10am- 4:30 pm) but you can still see through the gates when they're closed...kind of. Show is up until January 21 !

Above are just a few of my favorite paintings.. but you can see more on my blog.
