*Future Autumn Society Events and Activities*

Ok ladies and gentlemen...Here are a couple of ideas I've been thinking about for awhile to spice things up on the blog even more!

1. Interviews with different artists, involving their influences, experiences, etc...
1.5 Essays or research on artists that have influenced us, our work, and our lives. Can include pictures, video, music, etc...
2. Monthly or bi-monthly themed Illustrations for an Autumn Society collective book at the end of each year.
3. Zines or ashcan collectives including a page of each artist in the Society. This will be collected in black & white and will be distributed in events and conventions. This will serve to promote our blog and our variety of work.
4. How-To blogs. Different processes or tips on how to approach an illustration and other art mediums.
5. Pictures of fellow author's studio spaces.
6. Galleries and events in Center City.
7. ?????

More guidelines and info coming soon! Get ready!
Any suggestions or ideas for anything, please get in touch!

Sincerely,

~Chogrin~

I really love the idea of the calendar, and the how to blogs, and most of these ideas!! I'll try to post any information I find that can help anyone, and if you need me to do anything special/ want my help with anything, you always are free to ask, Joe!

I support all these ideas..... except for atleast 1-3 years I wont have a perminate studio set up.

Let me know when you want any of those for any. I can screen print the covers, it does even have to be my art, it can be someone elses or a collabrative full spread zine cover/collective piece.

in other words you ment:
"here's the plan"

how about a weekly or bi-weekly drawing topic? a month seems kind of long.
fight to the death with the philadelphia cartoonist society
the city's only big enough for one 'society'.

i have other ideas....will discuss at a later time....

i think monthly is a good "schedule" for drawings. we're for the most part pretty busy and i think that monthly let's more people join in on a piece at the same time. other than that, all of those ideas sound awesome. i think the ashcan especially is really in reach. it's all looking good.

i'm definitely game for some illustration projects to keep me sharp on the side. although i can't promise that i would be totally on top of essay and interviews, i'm a little behind in case no one noticed my complete absence this summer.
but yeah- i think working as more of a community in the future would be super cool.

I was thinking we could do a project where everyone creates their own joke superhero and a short, one page origin story. Any takers?

I'm down for projects and stuff though I wouldn't be able to participate in everything... the superhero origin story sounds awesome though!

Wow, thanks for all the feedback guys! This is great! I'm glad to see everyone is excited...I was also thinking podcasts...but that might take some technological research, unless anyone already knows how to make them? THat'd be cool!

P.S. Eamon, I love your idea! I think that'll be the first thing we'll start out with.
