Comic-ing

kimherbst.blogspot.com

Sorry, I've been very very quiet! I'm currently in the middle of taking some time away from my full-time job to basically sort my art life out. I've been hoping to make the transition from full-time job to freelance but there never seems to be enough time to properly promote myself! So everyday for the past few weeks, I've been attempting to crank out comic pages during any hours after work. Here is the cover to an 18 page comic I've recently finished. I'll have my Pinky Swear comic, this Visiting Hours comic, and one more (just started in-progress) to be printed and bound together to pitch to publishers. Wish me luck!

Good luck and godspeed with everything! I don't think you will have a hard time convincing anyone. Your stuff is exceptional! Congrats!

Wow, that's a beautiful piece. I know what you mean about finding time for freelancing, I'm working full time up in NY as a graphic designer - and there isn't always enough room for my illustration. Lately I've had to make a similar vow to do something every night. I think it's supposed to be tough for the first few years though, that's what all the pros say. Anyway good luck and hang in there - the work is gorgeous.
