here's a poster that i did for j.s. lewis, author of the grey griffins series of books. a while back, i created this pinup for inclusion in his forthcoming sketchbook, "the mysterious journal of j.s. lewis". shorty thereafter, he asked me to create a WWII style propaganda poster featuring a squadron of jetpack-fitted U.S. infantrymen.
here's the cool part: copies of this poster will be available for purchase from j.s. at the 2009 san diego comicon! he'll be at the komikwerks booth (#2648, right near marvel and boom!)...stop by and pick one up!

It's also similar to the WPA posters put out during the depression and the decade following it. Very Cool Poster. I love the uniformity of all of the people in space and I especially love the type choice.
This is great. Awesome texture. Rocketpack soldiers, you can't go wrong.
This is framable and remarkable.
cool washed greenish colours
just great. you take it to just the right limit here, hitting it out of the park. great colors, and just enough texture, never over doing it. super solid Tom
Anyway I can get one of these? Contact me at matt @ the website I'm leaving with the comment.
Would love to find out. Thanks.
