Richard Wiliams Blog

For all you animation people:
I came across an interesting blog on Richard Williams, an older animator from the 60s that directed the animation on Roger Rabbit and Thief and the Cobbler

the blog mostly deals with the Thief production and another film that I'm not familiar with (you'll see when you check it out.

here's some images from his site:

here's the link:

there is also a section where you can order a DVD set based on The Animator's Survival Kit for over a whopping over-priced $1000 (just get the book, it's something around $50).

I'm going to watch this movie RIGHT NOW.

His blog has some amazing stuff--I love the black and white sketches of Nasrudin.

...wow, just started the movie and it's amazing. So excited.

the movie is one of the greatest achievements of animation. it makes me want to call for a ban on computers and such and force people to go back to lovelier hand-drawn days. it is worth trying to download the "Cobbled Cut" that someone put together, which is as close to the directors cut as anyone will get, post studio rushed Aladdin scammed butchery
