"You'd better look out below!"

From a "wild" weekend, I was inspired and did my own tribute to Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild things Are." I had a lot of fun with this one, especially working with a pastel palette and experimenting with different forms of shading. Hope to see more wild things here on the blog!

Woohoo! joe you really did push it to the next level with this in terms of drawing and composition. The palette is subdued and the shading is what i've been hoping to see you get to in your work for a while. i also can't tell you how happy i am to see a background in there! kudos on a great piece!

Fun stuff. I love the pacman eyes. I have been working up WTWT sketches but haven't hit what I want yet. A very inspirational topic this is! I'm looking forward to the movie.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you dig it! Now, here's hoping that we can do a whole art show on the theme!

Is this still available for purchase? My roomate's birthday is coming up and he's obsessed with WTWTA. He got a Max tattoo last week for crying out loud!
