The Mothman

This is a piece I created for a Halloween themed show called Artmares that's taking place in my hometown of Charleston, WV. The Mothman is a folklore creature native to West Virginia, and I've wanted to do a piece based on him for quite a while. I had a lot of fun creating this and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Also, all week long on my blog I've been using this piece to create lengthy posts detailing my process as a digital artist. People ask me about this subject from time to time, so I especially wanted to do it for those who are curious and for anybody who might not have any idea about what goes into creating a piece of digital art. The posts were a lot of work but also a lot of fun, so I highly recommend you check them out if they sound like something that may interest you!

Gorgeous piece, Glen! I really enjoyed the breakdown you did on your site as well. It's always a treat to get to see things from the director's seat. ;)
