Miyazaki in the Iconoclastic Dead

 by Oliver Akuin / otakuin.blogspot.com

Hey guys! Here's my piece for 'The Iconoclastic Dead' show in Mexico City. It's Miyazaki & Totoro. I painted it with goauche on illustration board.

No Face

Hello,
This is my submission for the Japanese show. I'm a huge Miyazaki fan, so I did No Face from Spirited Away. The little specs in the piece are gold leaf, which doesn't scan so well. Hope you all like it and I'll see you at the show.

J-Popping

Howdy all. This is just a little sketch-thought-process- fun to reveal a little bit of the subject matter of my piece for the J-Pop Culture. Just a quick sketch, and a horrible photograph since I've got a caput scanner. The final piece, as you'll see when I post it, will be digital.
