You Can't Always Get What You Want... So Don't Worry.

You Can't Always Get What You Want.

I am not a fan of spring. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the sun, and breeze going across my face as I bike around Philadelphia. The weather is quite premium. What gets me bitter this time of the year, is seeing what I don't have. It's human nature to feel envious of other people who find their other half, but it is something I reflect on this time of the year. This is a metaphorical illustration about that bitter feeling.

There is no use in worrying, when there is nothing to worry about.

This is a illustration I made for my mom. She worries about me, ALOT. So I made her this as a simple calm down during these vital times, and economic hardships most of us are facing.

I just uploaded these images to my website.

i quite like the bird one. lots of nice little texture bits, and the color scheme totally works. just thinking about that glowing bird is putting me at ease.

the spring piece works compositionally really well but i think there's some drawing problems with the girl, especially her arm, that are keeping me from loving it 100%.

Man these are both really great pieces! They could easily fit in the Heart Earth Show!

Alex- I straightened her arm out some so it looks more natural. I think that is the best I'll do for now with it.

Joe - Thanks, they probably could.

Fish, I think both of these turned out pretty nice. I like the bird one, I wish there were a few more petals in the first one, but I don't think it takes anything away from it either. Nice palettes too, thanks for posting the two together, it's a fun contrast of imagery.
