Growing up in the 80s I always found it that the side kick characters or mascots from cartoons were the hardest toys to find. Inspired by these hard to find characters, I decided to do a series of three that were my favorite! Here's my first from Masters of the Universe, Orko.

Awesome character piece, Joe! Another gem.
Awesome, the colors really pop! I'm assuming there is a Snarf in the works?
That's great! I really like the distressed (is that the right word?) textures on the background. And what a weird character, now that I think about it.
Please say that a Snarf is coming up.
one of your best Joe, serious, or one of my favorites. is it 100% vector? not trying to get you to reveal your secrets, but how did you do the 'distressed' look? it's wonderful. congrats buddy, i predict a killer series from you.
ALL HAIL ORKO...
Great weirdness going on in the fingers..
p
you need a slimer too!
great piece joe!
Nice one Joe. Your colors and style lend well to the 80's sensibility.
Thanks for all the comments guys!
Eric: Gracias amigo!
Dave: Thanks and we'll in a couple of hours...
Minder: Thank-you sir! The 80s was filled with a boatload of weird characters...that's probably why we're such an awesome generation. lol.
Collin: Maybe...
PW: No secrets hermano. It a mix of everything, but all put together in illustrator. I basically took a watercolor splatter, scanned it, blew it out to black, live traced in Illustrator and started cookie cutting shapes. Hope that helps!
Jim: You called it, and done!
Andy: Oh stop it, you're making me blush! lol. Thanks amigo!
Orko is my favorite of the trio. He almost looks like he should be a spinning records in front of him. your next piece should be DJ Orko.
