Here's my piece for the 'Iconoclastic Dead' @ Guru Gallery, I'm really stoked to be a part of it with so many rad artists, and with the theme of the show there was only one person I could paint and that is probably my biggest influence...

It's not easy...

Well if there was one prominent figure to tribute with the Iconoclastic Dead Show it'd have to be Jim Henson. With a bit of felt and a lot of heart, he shaped my childhood into the awesomeness that it was!

Here is a funky drawing I did of one of the celebrities who have been on my mind lately. I've been on a huge Sesame Street kick thanks to a book I received for Christmas from my friend Dave (who has just started a really cool photo blog here that deals with nostalgic and pop culture subjects.)

There's not much I can say about Jim that hasn't already been said; he's just one of those rare larger-than-life figures. He sure as heck believed in what he was good at.

Also, my shirt design that I posted a while back called Mario's Closet is now called The Plumber's Wardrobe and it's finally up for sale. It's only been up for a day and a couple sizes are already sold out, so I'm happy to say it's selling like crazy. You can buy the guy's shirt here and the women's tee here.
