I haven't posted in forever. Annnnnnnnd most of the stuff I've been doing is all personal comic work and such, so I didn't feel right sharing that. Here's some fanart I did for FUN FUN. I hope at least SOME people on here know who they are.

It's Been a While

Lots of things going on this summer, fall, and eventually falling into winter. (Though it doesn't feel like it.) I was stuck in some horrific art block, and I didn't draw literally for months. The other day I had such an urge to draw I picked up my tablet and just started doodling, trying out some new coloring techniques, styles, and just having fun, something I haven't done with art since the beginning of senior year.

I miss other artists, and art in general. Here's hoping I'll be more present in the upcoming months. Hope you all have been well.

And to Joe Game, thank you so much for everything! For all the opportunities, shows, and fun times. I hope we'll do margaritas again some time in the future. So much love and luck to your in California! I love Adventure Time!!!!!

Long Since Dead

Finally I managed to pull myself out of an art block and do some art. This is an art-trade I did with a friend of mine of her character. I thought he was nifty so I decided to draw him. Can't really explain the content, I just imagined him with a fish....and guts? Loosely based on the Japanese tale of the little boy who fights the fish. That's what gave me the inspiration.

I'm hoping to go on a roll now and keep making more art. Ah the freedom of not being in school. Sketch too because I liked it. :0

Viva Published

So, I know I'm not Viva, but I also know that Viva is:
A. Not the most savvy with the interwebs.
B. Humble and shy.
C. At Work.

Anyway, her mother delivered a few copies of a local magazine she was published in. It was to illustrate a story about a tragic love triangle during the Civil War. Whilst flipping through the pages we both thought it was going to be a tiny spot illustration, but to her and my delightful surprise was a full page spread, and accurate reproduction!

Now she just needs to do more! Congrats on your first published piece, Viva!

P.S.: Pardon the bad scan, of course I grabbed the ONE magazine with wrinkles in the image. :tsktsktsk:

Let the Right One In

Not dead yet! Well, risen from the dead maybe. I've been absent here for a long time, but with school coming to an end, and my stress level falling to an all time low, I felt the draw of this place once again. I'm surprised and excited to see all the new faces. I have lots of plans for personal projects this summer, so I'm hoping to be a bit more active. For now, I only have a little piece I did to show my love for a Swedish film I saw not too long ago. I bought the book the movie was based on, and the cover was horrid, so I decided to mock up a quick one for my pleasure. Just a little thing, hoping to have more projects and art up soon!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sudden cold spell and also revving up their air conditioners for a hot summer.

Gemini

I had a concept for this for class, but it's not important. It had something to do with people marrying young and divorcing. In the end, I think this was just a big old vent piece for me. Now, it just makes me think of Gemini, which is my sign.

Missing Hawai'i muchly in this piece. I miss ocean!!!!

Working on a New ELY

I couldn't do it, my old one was making me more and more suicide prone per day. I'm just gonna have to talk to the teachers about it. Layout isn't done, still need text but I want to talk to people about it first. LE SIGH.

I hate the ELY.

edit: new ELY is cover and interiors for the novel LOLITA.
