New print for Bottleneck Gallery's "Cant' Beat Em, Join Em" zombie themed show which opens tonight and runs through October 28th. Bottleneck is a great new gallery in brooklyn that donates a chunk of every show's earnings to a different charity. I'm happy to be a part of this months show which is working to help support The American Red Cross.

This is a four color print measuring about 10" x 15" and is inspired by the movie  Zombie Land. Its in an edition of 35. For more info on the show please visit: www.bottleneckgallery.com

Also, next week Countdown to (En)Danger opens in Philadelphia's own B2. ALL proceeds from this show go to benefit the World Wild Life Fund. Show open on Saturday October 13th at 6pm and runs for about a month. The show was put together by Ryann Casey and Josh Robeson and if its anything like their previous charity shows, this should be a lot of fun. For more info please visit: worldwildlife.org or Facebook.com/worldwildlife

Had a lot of fun working on this print. Its four colors and is about 12" x 19". And again, all proceeds from this show go to the WWF.

Prayer to Mothra

"If we were to call for help, over time, over sea, like a wave, you'd come"

8"X10"

acrylic on panel

This picture features Mothra (or Mosura) in her larval stage headed toward Tokyo Bay to answer a distress call by the Shobijin (small fairy twins who can communicate with Mothra telepathically). The title of the painting is part of Mothra's prayer or song the Twins sing to contact Mothra. Mothra often aids as an ally to Godzilla but more often an enemy and worthy adversary to the "King of Monsters"

I had a tons of fun painting this, more then I thought I would, something about a giant worm crashing through the waves to cause destruction I guess. But I really had more fun hanging out watching Godzilla movies for research, Hope fully soon I would like to a King Ghidorah piece!!

AHOD

it's been a shamefully long time since i posted anything and i figured this was a perfect excuse to get back on the society. i didn't really take too many risks with this one, but i think it's okay to play to your strengths sometimes.

can't wait for the show and to see everything you guys came up with!

Gemini

I had a concept for this for class, but it's not important. It had something to do with people marrying young and divorcing. In the end, I think this was just a big old vent piece for me. Now, it just makes me think of Gemini, which is my sign.

Missing Hawai'i muchly in this piece. I miss ocean!!!!
