Mac Tonight

Doug Jones is the actor that Hollywood turns to when they have a part that requires a lot of makeup. His recent notable roles include the creatures in Pan's Labyrinth, Abe Sapien in Hellboy, and The Silver Surfer in Fantastic 4.

A piece of trivia I knew about Doug was that he also played Mac Tonight in the McDonald's commercials of the 80's (I'm a big advertising mascot nerd.) So seeing as how the character is fairly obscure compared to his more recent roles, I thought it would be funny to create this piece and get him to sign it at a convention I attended earlier this month.

The piece really caught him off guard and he loved it. He also asked that I send it to his website, where it was posted earlier this week.

Studio 52

Studio 52 is run by two art students who currently are attending University of The Arts, under the college of art and design for Illustration. The end goal for building Studio 52 is to have artwork visible to the masses on the ever changing art world.

STUDENTS vs WORLD is a facebook group that was made to tie in with Studio 52 as a way to help other unestablished artists by sharing info on upcoming events, art techniques and ideas etc.
