Charity Art Sale to benefit Haiti earthquake victims

Hey Autumn Society people!

We at Girls Drawin Girls are organizing an online art sale to donate proceeds to the American Red Cross (or a Haiti related charity of your choosing) to go towards the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

We're looking for donated pieces of art to post and to help spread the word:

We are accepting submissions on a rolling basis through the end of January. Please send your piece's information (title, dimensions, medium, price & shipping cost, with a JPG of the work) to girlsdrawingirls at gmail. If you have a specific charity you would like your piece to go towards that is not American Red Cross, please specify.

Artists will be responsible for shipping their artwork once sold. GDG will send artists the shipping fee and mailing address of donors.

THANK YOU!!!

*Baltimore Comic Con 08 {Part 3}*

Here's more Baltimore Comic Con goodness. Below are some of the great artists & companies who attended the show.

Guy Davis has become my new hero in comics, for the fact that the man can draw almost anything (especially monsters) and he's also super nice and approachable person. He also drew a sketch for anyone who came up to him and asked. Here's my proof.

Paul Conrad, another great artist I had the pleasure to talk to and actually stopped by our table for a bit. Paul was at the event under AdHouse Books, a great publishing company with volumes of great original titles.

Please check out Paul's Blog when you get a chance. He's got volumes & volumes of amazing work and processes to show! Here are two exclusive posters he made for this year's con. They're awesome!

Matt Kindt, who is also a super nice individual, was there under Top Shelf Comix, featuring his book "Super Spy".

Thanks again to everyone who was there, and making this event happen! Cheers!

Hey Everybody

Hi guys, I would like to kick off my first post by saying thanks to Mr. Chogrin for inviting me to contribute to this really rad community/blog. I must admit that the Autumn Society Blog page was almost a daily interweb stop for myself, and to now be apart of it stokes me out pretty hard. Anyways, for those of you who don't know me my name is Brad and I recently graduated from the Illustration department at U Arts along with my homies Eric, Tim, J. Arnold, S.M. Vidaurri, Karen, etc. etc. So yeah. Oh, and the above piece is a new wave of portfolio/promo stuff I have been working on, the title is "With Every New Day, There is a New Way."

and I'm totally in a show tonight at Jinxed with some heavy hitters including fellow illustration dept. alumni Leanne Biank, stop by if you can!

and here is my site as well.

thanks.
