You smell like phys ed!

This is my third and final piece of the 3 S's for the 3G show...a tribute to Sloth. I always wondered what Chunk's parents thought of him offering up a place for Sloth to live at the end of the movie. "Hey Mom and Dad, this big weird dude is gonna come live with us, is that cool?"...

Prints will be available through the gallery when the show opens.

Newbie Introduction

Howdy everyone, my name is Tyler Parker I joined a few weeks ago but have been super busy and have finally had the time to sit down and do my intro speech. I'm an illustrator originally from upstate NY, educated at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and am currently residing in Brighton, England where I am pursuing my masters degree in sequential design and illustration.

Not sure what the ultimate goal is at this point, mostly I've done freelance magazine work and some exhibition work, for people like the Texas Observer, Giant Robot Magazine, Bitch magazine, San Francisco Bay Guardian and others. You can see my work at www.theartoftylerparker.com and my blog at penguinsdawn.blogspot.com. I'm more established for doing collage work as seen on my website but lately I've decided to paint and here is some of my recent work:

Anyways I look forward to being a part of the community and take part in the odd exhibition and onward with the hazing rituals.

*Baltimore Comic Con 08 {Part 3}*

Here's more Baltimore Comic Con goodness. Below are some of the great artists & companies who attended the show.

Guy Davis has become my new hero in comics, for the fact that the man can draw almost anything (especially monsters) and he's also super nice and approachable person. He also drew a sketch for anyone who came up to him and asked. Here's my proof.

Paul Conrad, another great artist I had the pleasure to talk to and actually stopped by our table for a bit. Paul was at the event under AdHouse Books, a great publishing company with volumes of great original titles.

Please check out Paul's Blog when you get a chance. He's got volumes & volumes of amazing work and processes to show! Here are two exclusive posters he made for this year's con. They're awesome!

Matt Kindt, who is also a super nice individual, was there under Top Shelf Comix, featuring his book "Super Spy".

Thanks again to everyone who was there, and making this event happen! Cheers!

I would like to give a special thanks to Jeff Desantis, Peter Wonsowski, & Sam Heimer for all their extra help and support on this. Another big thanks goes to Craig, Tim, Shane, Jimmy, Justin, Anthony, and Eamon for participating & keeping good posts at their tables and advertising the society! Thanks again guys, I'm looking forward to next year!

Alright boys and girls, it's that time of the year again...Baltimore Comic Con is near, so get your sketches, doodles, finished artwork, or whatever you may have ready to show, sell, or give out at this great event. So far we have one table consisting of 3 people, including myself. Any of you who would like to join and get more tables under the Society's name please do so and get in contact with me if you'd like.
