Dia de los Muertos Show

I really admire painters who work loose and really show off their brush strokes. Some that come to mind are Greg Manchess, NC Wyeth, Justin Sweet and the like.. The marks they make and the affects that occur are absolutely beautiful and are so interesting to look at. I've been wanting to bring some of that into my work lately and took this piece as an opportunity to try it out. This is my submission for the show next month, I've been delayed due to some freelance work on my plate, but I am glad I finally got to post this up. Hope you all like it!

Epic Eric does it again! Love the softness around the skull and the details are so good! The vocabulary of the patterns is wonderful. Are they your own design or is it another influence? Simple. Epic. Muerto.
