Dead and Dreaming CLOSING RECEPTION THIS FRIDAY

Friends,

This friday marks the closing of Dead and Dreaming at Paradigm Gallery. If you missed the opening reception, mosey on down to the closing reception Friday night starting at 6:00 PM, 2020 South Street. I can easily say with pride this is one of the tightest shows I've ever seen and you really don't want to miss it... but if you do, the catalog was collected in a sexy book (see below) along with artist preliminary work.

Let me know what you guys think!

He (by H.P.Lovecraft, for Dead and Dreaming).

Good morning eldritch, creeping friends! Here's my newest labor of love, and addition to the wonderful collection of art being put together by the endlessly talented, unnameably productive Sam Heimer for his newest show Dead and Dreaming, a modern take on illustrating the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

My foray into the Lovecraftian was based on the uber-short story 'He', about an aged NY magician showing a lurky artist the future of things to come with spells stolen from the native peoples of New York. I chose to leave out the space head-dresses, which, sadly, is not a joke.

Hope you enjoy!

Here's my piece for Sam Heimer's Dead and Dreaming show. I did a portrait of Wilbur Whateley from The Dunwich Horror. So far all the work I've seen for this show is amazing! Can't wait for the book!

The Worship of Dagon

Digital file for a 2 color screen print. This is my piece for the "Dead and Dreaming" Lovecraft Show at Paradigm gallery this fall. Curated by the talented and macabre Sam Heimer.

And the inks alooooonnnne...

Bu-bu-but why are these inks in 2 colors?

Good question! Read THIS POST for the answer.

DEAD & DREAMING FUNDRAISER (Buy an exclusive shirt from Sam Heimer)

Autumn Society founder / Elder, Sam Heimer is raising funds for the upcoming Autumn Society: H.P. Lovecraft tribute show, titled "Dead & Dreaming."

Sam is curating the show with a top selection of Autumn Society artists & other guests. A unique element from this event is that there will be a book collecting all of the artwork featured in the show. You can support this event & Sam's initiative by purchasing one of Sam's T-shirts above (click here or on the image for more info).

Yog-Blogsoth

So, I haven't posted on here in forever but Chogrin asked me to share my blog project Yog-Blogsoth. I've been drawing every creature in ever H.P. Lovecraft story. Everything from the more recognizable stuff (Cthulhu, Elder Things, Shoggoths) to the more obscure stuff (Mutant Penguins, Fungus Vampires, Aegipans) to stuff that's only mentioned (Wamps, Vooniths, Yakith Lizards).

The blog's also been getting a ton of internet press, like on Wired, Boingboing, and io9! Even on this bizarre Hungarian website, Sötét jövő!

Anyway, I'd love it if you guys checked it out and gave me some feedback. Here's a few samples.Sentient Trapezoid-Dreams In the Witch-House

DEAD AND DREAMING

Hey folks. Hope you're all well. The above is a teaser for an upcoming show/book I'm excited as all get out to be curating. More about it HERE on my blog. Also, some new work on my side-project HERE. More soon!
