Turtle Powah!

Here is my piece for the "Shell-Shock" A TMNT Art Show! It is called "Sewer Press Review" and is based on this playset!

I had the pleasure to get my older brothers hand-me-downs as a kid and the Turtle van was one of them. *Along with a ton of these figures* The colors were really fun to play with! And I looooove Master Splinter. :D

Lágrimas por los Muertos

Dang, I was too late to post this on the Day of The Dead because I was too busy celebrating it. My bad, its only an hour late. Here is a rushed digi-paint. I knew I wouldn't have the time to do a proper Halloween picture or participate in that gallery inspired by the holiday but I knew for sure I wanted to get atleast one out for Dia De Los Muertos.

Here is a woman crying for the calveras that represent people she has lost.

Scissors

My piece for the "90's Art Gallery show" for The Autumn Society

Oh, my childhood, there was so many things to pick from. SO MANY. It was very hard to decide, I did want to do Ren and Stimpy or a bunch of other fun cartoon shows I grew up with or even toys I'd want to take a stab at but seeing the entries thus far made me want to choose something no one else would suspect.

Edward is perhaps one of my favorite movies of all time, I can never get tired of it, its always great even after multiple viewings. I love the innocence, originality and slight dark tone Burton put into this film. The ice dance always makes me melt. :P

This one is a bit simple due to lack of time. X_X

Enjoy!

And be sure to go to my blog Purple Peep Bits for in progress shots.

Werewolf's Halloween Night Gallery Piece

Yay! Halloween is almost here! I'm very excited for the holiday and I've been smitten by the spirit of it. Werewolves have always been my favorite classic monster and I always loved the idea of monsters trick-or-treating with us norms. :>

This is my piece for the "Trick-Art-Treat" gallery event.

Be sure to visit Purple Peep Bits for a behind the scenes look on how I created the image and for other spooky goodies!

Till next time peeps.

-La Visita-

I thought about uploading this Nov. 2nd but I'd probably forget about it. My piece for the "Day of the Dead" Gallery Show.

I had this idea since last year and I really wanted to follow up to it for this gallery show. Coming up with a good layout was by far the hardest for this piece but I'm pleased with it.

Papi is coming to visit his nina and join the celebration of the holiday. I really wanted to show off the true meaning of the holiday with this.

Check out my blog for progress shots of the piece!

Enjoy!

I'm looking forward to see the upcoming pieces for the show, all of them are fantastic so far.

Pah Pah Pah-Leeease, Not Patty Cake

My piece for the 80s POP! Gallery show.

I was in such a tough bind deciding on what to pick for my piece. Considering so much grade A awesomeness came from that decade. I pondered for days until I decided to go with the classic "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?". I grew up with him over the years and I've been a big fan ever since. Plus, it came out on the year I was born! Bonus points.

I picked the "patty cake" scene. Just the thought of cartoon's exploding after drinking alcohol was a funny idea, hell, the idea of "patty cake" known to cartoons point of view is a funny idea. The scene was so chaotic and emotional. Totally fun to draw, I had to get every detail from the scene in this.

Man. Judge Doom freaked me out when I was a kid. That squeaky voice. *shudders*

Come over to my blog, Purple Peep Bits to see some "In Progress" sketches and inks!
