Constructive Meditaion Mandala...

Sadly, I won't be at the show tonight. But, here is my artwork from the 80's Toy show... It's my tribute to CONSTRUX, a toy I personally love a great deal.. I formatted it within a Mandala, to kinda signify how zen-like it was to build with these when I was a young boy. Beyond a few printing snafu's I really like where this image was going and am entertaining the idea of doing a few more and making a series of them....so that I might design other parts from this toy line and arrange them in wonderful ring-like patterns...

The 3G Show: plush Slimer preview

At Joe's urging, here's a preview of my first piece for the 3G show at Gallery 1988 in Sept. Slimer, interpreted into Wumpling plush form. He comes with a pizza slice, cupcake, hotdog, and donut that velcro to the tongue and inside of his mouth. He's super squishy and has excellent chomping action to chase your friends with!

Been awhile since I last posted. Anyways, heres my 80's Toy show submission.
I chose to use a rather obscure toy from the era, to give myself a challenge, and to re-use a style of drawing I've been itching to try again since a failed (not really) Sophomore year assignment. The result being this Ed Roth styled Roller Racer.

Red, Blue, Green, Green, Yellow, Blue, Green, Red, Red...

I'm pretty sure I've never posted this here but figured it was appropriate for the upcoming 80's toy show....Man I'm backlogged....I know this thing was released in 78' but it was very iconic of the 80's
SO MUCH WORK TO SCARE UP...Gotta get cracking....DEADLINES LOOM LARGE... and work has been particularly taxing of late...
