ADVENTURE TIME @ NUCLEUS - A SMASH HIT!!!

Well, as many of you know an Adventure Time Crew Art show premiered @ Gallery Nucleus this Saturday (April 16th), along with the Edward Scissorhands 20th Anniversary tribute. The show was a a smashing success! Check out some rad interviews with the Adventure Time crew below (including yours truly). And yes it was very hot there, since there a ton of fans! (see pictures below)

This Saturday (April 16th) come see some production art from the mathematical hit show, ADVENTURE TIME, along with some original tribute art by the Adventure Time crew! Adventure Time creator, Pen Ward and I will be there, so definitely stop by and say hi!

This will be the second Adventure Time art show. The Autumn Society was a big part of promoting and creating art for the first Adventure Time art show last year @ Cartoon Network Studios.

Also this Saturday (April 16th) come see an amazing Edward Scissorhands tribute by a plethora of star illustrators, including Autumn Society members: Bobby O'herlihy, Becky Dreistadt, Cory Godbey, Dave Perillo, Alex Leighton, and Drake Brodahl. How to Draw Finn! (With Phil Rynda)

Hey everyone!

From the Trenches of Adventure Time is here!

“From the Trenches” is a behind-the-scenes video series of the super talented folks that make up the crew of the animated hit series, Adventure Time, by Pen Ward!

For our first segment, we interviewed the amazing & lead character designer of the show, Phil Rynda! In the video above, Phil shows you how to draw Finn, and gives some good advice for any artist.

Phil will also start teaching at CalArts this Thursday night! Congrats Phil and to the students that will be lucky to have him as a teacher!

Every cartoon show begins with a "Title Card," featuring the title of the episode with an Illustration of the show's main premise. Adventure Time's Title Cards really stand out, because they're a perfect combination of great layout, text, colors, textures, and pulp reference. This is all part of a creative step-by-step process between Character Designer - Phil Rynda, Painter - Paul Linsley, and Art Director - Nick Jennings. So the cartoon show I've been working on the last five months (Adventure Time) premieres this Monday, April 5th (8pm). With all the hype and excitement I wanted to share this awesome page I found while navigating through facebook. If you type in "adventure time" on facebook, there are now several groups advertising the show before it has even premiered! To my surprise one of the groups made a photo album on all the Autumn Society Adventure Time tributes. Whoever created the page, thank-you for your support!
