The Autumn Society - OUT OF CONTROL!

It's pretty amazing that our first art show was in April of 2009 @ Brave New Worlds Comics.

And now here we are, almost two years later with over 20 art shows, events, publications, and exclusives under our belt!

None of this could of been possible without the support, love, and inspiration of many Autumn Society members, enthusiasts, and followers.

We invite you to celebrate these accomplishments with us by checking out our recently updated ART SHOWS, EVENTS, PUBLICATIONS, & EXCLUSIVES sections.

Thank-you for all the victories and for helping us set a standard among art collectives worldwide.

More to come!

My 3G pieces are ready!!!

I was kindly invited to participate in such a great show and I'm so glad I was able to make my three pieces already! It was a great fun making the pieces and came out in great timing... I'm of course one more who was amazed for these spectacular movies when I was kid and coincidentally very recently I showed the three of them, almost in a row to my six years old boy so when I received the invitation was as you can imagine a total blast. Hope you like them!

A Chance for YOU to be in an Exhibition!

Hi Autumn Society,
My friend is a curator at Haverford College, he asked me to spread the word about this opportunity:

Curators Harrell Fletcher and Jens Hoffmann are looking for five local artists to feature in the People's Biennial, a traveling exhibition that will display remarkable contemporary works by artists who haven't had significant exposure, or who may not even consider themselves part of the "art world."

What are they looking for? Paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, and video, but also things that may not immediately look like art at all: children's science fair projects, mathematicians' notebooks, painted window displays, collections of all kinds.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23, 2010
Submissions, questions, feedback: hcpeoples@gmail.com

That's the sign-post up ahead, your next stop...

This is piece for the upcoming Twilight Zone tribute show "Another Dimension" at Gallery 1988 in LA. I am a huge Twilight Zone fan so it was a real thrill to asked to be part of this show, I couldn't pick just one episode to base a piece off of so I came up with this...

There are about 28 different episodes featured in the piece, "To Serve Man" pops up twice in A and C, and D could be either from the episode "The Dummy" or "Caesar and Me" since it's the same puppet in both episodes.

The piece is a 10" x 20" limited edition to 37 giclee print on watercolor paper and will be available for purchase starting May 20th on Gallery 1988's website, here's the link:

www.nineteeneightyeight.com

Oh, and as a bonus to me the gallery used a piece of the art for the show postcard...
