Breath Prowler Miniature

So I've been sculpting miniatures for Mage Company's new Table top game The Amityville Project: Phobos. This guy is one of my favorites I've sculpted so far and he's only 50 mm tall! They just launched a Kickstarter for the game which you can check out Here. The 2D art for the game is phenomenal as well , definitely worth checking out especially if you're fans of D&D or Magic the Gathering.

Lime Rickey

La Luz Gallery is having a show pairing up with LA beer week. LINK The theme doesn't have to be beer but most everything I do involves booze so it's my kinda show. This is my piece for the show, Lime Ricky, he's a Gluglin. Little creatures that love getting tanked and stirring up trouble.

Alien Xenomorph Maquette

I always wanted to sculpt an Alien but never really had a reason too especially since everyone and their brother has done an alien sculpture, but I got commissioned to do one so here it is. It's not any particular version of the Xenomorph just me taking bits and pieces I like from each design and putting my spin on it.

if you want to commission me for something email me at cigneutron@gmail.com

Wendigo

I've been working on my pieces for this years Artmares show and I really wanted to draw some sort of mythological creature that hasn't been done to death. I already drew the mothman once before, so that was pretty much out. I settled on the wendigo, a creature you'll supposedly turn into if you engage in acts of cannibalism. I drew a lot of inspiration from Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. comics' version of the creature, as well as some images I found online. Apparently there was a low budget horror movie made about a wendigo, and in that it had the giant head of a deer. I have no idea if that has any roots whatsoever in the actual wendigo myth, but I really liked the antlers so I used them.

The Artmares reception will be from 6 to 10 pm on Friday, Octrober 28 at the Kanawha Players Theater, 309 Beauregard St, Charleston, WV.

Wendigo for the Creature Show

Wendigo, 14.75x16", Ink on Rives BFK

Hey all. Next month at Brave New Worlds the Philadelphia Cartoonists' Society is hosting its Creature Double Feature show. Members are all taking a crack at interpreting the word creature and drawing all of manner of monsters. The one caveat being that no digital pieces could be submitted for the show itself. It was a neat rule especially because for so many of us...ahem..the computer is essential to the finished piece. I was happy to get the chance to try out some ink work.

In anycase, here's a wendigo! The Northern American mythic beast who ravages the woods and eats the flesh of man, seemingly endless in its hunger. Because so much of the wendigo myth focuses around greed and cannibalism, I tried to make grotesqueries of its mouth, hands, and emaciated skeletal frame. Hope you guys like it, see you at Brave New Worlds, November 6th.

PS: I've been working some new promo work, above is a very small crop of one. Hope you enjoy.

work in progress

click to enlarge for texture...really...click it...I don't think this detail is going to transfer well in the screenprinting. To get me this far on this poster has taken the same time in which I've done all the other posters for parade of flesh, and then some...so click it...take a gander...
