Flight of the Giraffe

Here is a piece I did for a baby shower gift. Aside from a few small things I like the end result.
Definitely a tad to cute for me but it works for what it is. Let me know what you think ?

Round Chicken

Hey A.S,

Here is a piece I just did, I wanted to do a piece traditionally because I have been using the computer for my last few pieces. I tried to upload this to Illustration Friday (Round being the Theme), but they claim it is not 72 DPI which it is....  anyway if I can't figure out how to upload it, it will be on the site. Otherwise Here it is.

Adventure Island

"Death from Above"
Watercolor & Ink

Not to be confused with Adventure Time. I used to have fond memories of renting the three games (well, only the 2nd and 3rd installments. The first game was throw-your-controller-across-the-room-insanely-hard) back in my youth. I knew I had to do the game justice by choosing it. I had so much fun creating this, I even included a process to this piece over at my blog, even though its pretty standard.

Dia De Los Gorey

This is my piece for the upcoming Iconoclastic show in Mexico! I chose to portray Edward Gorey for this show. He is a master of illustration, subtle humor and absurd storytelling. It was a great challenge to mix my style with Gorey's and incorporate the Dia de los Muertos style as well.

Good Morning, Mr. Breakfast.

Hey there. Here's my contribution to Pee-Wee. I must say that I don't have a fantastic memory for things that happened prior to about 2 or 3 years ago, but I clearly remember sitting in a completely packed theater on opening night of Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985). The audience cheered and laughed so hard at every joke that night that a second viewing was required to absorb all the plot intricacies and existential humour ("I know you are, but what am I?") that shaped this work of genius.

UDON Mega Man Art Tribute Book

So awhile back, I entered a Mega Man art tribute contest that Capcom & UDON Entertainment put together. I made the below image, and really didn't think I'd get pick, but I was proven wrong on that note.
Now with the book premiering at Comic Con in San Diego next week, they're encouraging all the winners to not be secretive about posting their work (legal reasons I think. Technically, what I made belongs to them now.)

"Toadman's Day Off"

Oh yeah, they also wanted some book promo jargon here, so here goes:

MEGA MAN TRIBUTE LIMITED EDITION HARDCOVER
-the book is premiering at the San Diego Comic-con at the UDON booth (#5037), July 20-24
-for fans not attending the show, you can preorder the book at UDONstore.com

MEGA MAN TRIBUTE SOFTCOVER
-The standard softcover edition is also available for preorder on amazon.com

Fetchez la Vache

This is my piece for the Crazy 4 Cult 5 show in LA. I'm very excited to be a part of such an incredible show with such incredible artists. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of my favorite movies of all time. I hope I did it justice.

122 1/8

I know, I know. In the first movie they get the pizza through the grate in the sidewalk. But this piece isn't necessarily from the movie. Plus, I have artistic license.

"Wise man say, forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for a late pizza."

Ninja Rap

When the first two Turtles movies came out, I remember wanting to see them badly--especially the second one, because Vanilla Ice was in it. My brother had the To the Extreme tape, but he wouldn't share it, so seeing that movie was going to provide some much-desired access to the Ice Man.

UPDATE: Vanilla Ice himself has seen and approved this drawing.

I ♣ O'Neil

"SHRED THE GNAR!"

Just because you're a misunderstood mutant snapping turtle, doesn't mean you can't shred and get giddy on the news lady like the rest of the gang.

MY TURN TO WIN

Hey guys,
I once again had the privilege to work with the awesome Philly/Jersey hardcore band MY TURN TO WIN. If you are into hardcore, you probably know who they are and if you don't, you should. Great band. Great people. Also, they wanted an giant octopus battling a giant robot on the cover! How could I say no?

3B

Hey folks,
Everyone's 3B pieces are most excellent. Here are mine...

"I'm sorry... They melvined me."

"Damn, where is that kid? Damn...Damn damn."

"Come a little closer. Step right up! Test your strength!"

Cheese Fans Rejoice

Here is my latest little illustration for Culture Cheese Magazine. Sorry that
I did not scan in the whole poem. Just go to your local Whole Foods to get a better
look. To see a better version of the final and the process, visit my Blog. Here is the cover
which I think looks pretty cool.

Fondle's Sluggers

Hey guys. A bit delayed, but with the extended deadline for the Sullivan's Sluggers pin-up, I took a bit of time to keep looking at my piece to see if I could add anything else, but the more and more I thought and looked, the more I decided that I didn't need to add anything that could clutter it up.

Happy Halloween guys!
