Popeye, Final!

You were right - he needed a pipe. If only to be dwarfed by the vast deformity that is the rest of his ocean-torn body. I also re-photographed him to emphasize the fact that he's painted on a golden canvas. I love that there's at LEAST 3 Popeyes in this show, and they range from traditional to art-cartoon to 'realistic'.

Also, my second series of Verdigris toys went on sale last night, and I'm excited about them.

If anyone has any tips regarding casting resin in silicone molds, drop me a line. I'm about to embark into a scary place.

Got back to my drawing roots in preparation for a webcomic my friend and I are embarking upon, since I've mostly been sculpting and painting, lately. Vote for my design here, please!
Also, I'm working on an original toy called The Spaceman, and releasing my second series of custom toys this week at my shop.

Golden Age Hero : Popeye

Dude really is a superfreak of nature.

Not sure if this one is done, coming, or going. Based on a whole bunch of portraits I sketched out of cartoon characters as 'real' people. For the record, they all make really, really ugly people. I also wanted to break out of the series of cartoony evil portraits I've been doing, so thanks for the 'Hero' theme.
